Narwhal Collective has partnered with Richard Sandoval Restaurants on several projects. From a unique, illustration driven menu and story for Noyane at the Conrad Hotel in Chicago to an exclusive beer tap/label design for famed Chicago-based Latinicity as well as La Guera Gastro Cantina in Denver.
We love the opportunity to do something unexpected, and the team at RSR has allowed us to do just that.
Narwhal Collective was approached to write and illustrate a playfully themed “comic book” for new Japanese rooftop bar and lounge — Noyane. This project consisted of creating 9 character profiles to complement a one-of-a-kind story that displays opposite to traditional menu pages and urges customers to follow along to the very end.’
The menu and story then finishes with Chicago-themed humorous classified ads as a throwback to classic comic book magazines you once had as a child.
Narwhal Collective has also designed a new label and branded tap handle for an exclusive beer offered in the Chicago-based restaurant Latinicity as well as La Güera Gastro Cantina in Denver.
Named after Güera, meaning blonde woman, this concept was combined with a classic Mexican lotería card look to give a memorable look for the first beer in their evolving roster.
